World Hat Walk

  • Free
  • Activity

Come together to celebrate the artistry of millinery as this event showcases creativity, craftsmanship, community and friendship and gives the humble hat a place to shine.

Assemble from 10.30am near the Rose Arbour in the car park at Flemington Racecourse, ready to commence the walk at 11am. So dust off your favourite hat and come along and strut your stuff.

World Hat Walk aims to uplift the profile of the hat and engage the community to feel confident about wearing hats whether for a special occasion or for no particular reason at all – other than to look good and feel fabulous.

World Hat Walk events are being held in many capital cities and participation is free.

So grab your most fabulous hat, gather your friends and register your participation.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
