The Turkish Pazar Festival brings all the delights of a traditional Turkish Ramazan Festival to the Queen Victoria Market. This traditional Turkish street bazaar is a vibrant, free and family-friendly celebration of food, music, dance and culture to mark the end of the fasting month.
Visitors can savour an array of Turkish street foods with familiar favourites such as gözleme and döner kebab, as well as delicious vegan and vegetarian snacks and sweets. A Turkish coffee will give visitors strength to keep going all day long!
Friendly stall holders will share information about their culture and celebrations - just ask them. Displays of Turkish arts and handcrafts include demonstrations of ebru (paper marbling) and other crafts. The Australian Ottoman Mehter Band performs on Sunday, and free activities over the weekend will keep the young entertained.
Celebrate the Ramazan Festival undercover in the sheds at the Queen Victoria Market.
