Short Stories about Latin Women
Through several intertwined monologues, Latin-American and Southern-European stories are brought to life – blending drama, comedy, and ancestral wisdom to explore what it means to be a woman navigating migration, identity, relationships and belonging.
In Australia, Latin-American and Southern-European culture is often reduced to stereotypes – if it's seen at all. Latin women, in particular, are rarely given space to tell their own stories on their own terms. This collective spotlights and champions these women's stories within Australian theatre.
It is a show for the communities who miss the taste of home – the culture, the sounds, the rhythms, the humour, the drama, the familiarity. This is a love letter to our cultures, our mothers, our grandmothers, and every woman who has ever had to start over in a new country.
Through this intimate, political, and deeply human storytelling, they invite you to laugh, cry, and see yourself on stage.
