Sam Jay: We The People

In her Australian solo debut, Sam Jay explores how a black woman who never truly felt a part of her country might grapple with its certain demise.

An Emmy-nominated writer (Saturday Night Live), producer and star of HBO series Pause with Sam Jay, with two critically acclaimed specials – 3 In The Morning (Netflix) and Sam Jay: Salute Me or Shoot Me (HBO) on her resumé, Sam is one of the most exciting provocateurs in comedy right now.

Alongside her Best Show nomination at the the 2025 Edinburgh Fringe, Sam won the Uprise Award that recognises shows that challenge dominant narratives, offer fresh perspectives and spark conversation.
