Make something, mend something, and leave with a new sustainable skill at this free textile workshop.
There’ll be various stations for hand sewing repairs, including fixing buttons, patching garments, and making small 3D objects, such as flower brooches and keychains from upcycled Fed Square banner material. Sewing machines will also be available for use.
Most materials will be provided, sourced from textile waste and deadstock fabrics; however, you are also welcome to bring your own garments to repair or rework on the day.
A garment collection bin will be on-site in partnership with Textile Recyclers Group – this is a chance to drop off anything you’re ready to pass on and keep it out of landfill.
Part of RESET – a festival for grounding and growing.
