Dementia-Friendly Open Studio at NGV

NGV is inviting people living with dementia, their families, friends and carers to join a free open studio session during Dementia Action Week 2026.

The Open Studio is a welcoming space for people whose lives are affected by dementia. Drop in at any time and take part in hands-on artmaking in a relaxed and supportive environment. A variety of materials will be available, with trained NGV Educators there to guide and assist as needed.

Connect with others, explore creative activities at your own pace, and learn more about the dementia-friendly programs, resources and initiatives available at the NGV. No art skills or experience are required to participate.
