Q-Lit is Naarm's premier LGBTQIA+ literary festival. This year, they are diving deep into the theme of 'Queer Nostalgia', inviting the community to reflect on the stories, archives and histories that have shaped them.
Across four incredible days, they're taking over iconic local venues like the Kensington Town Hall, Mission to Seafarers and the Victorian Pride Centre. The accessible, pay-as-you-can program features an unforgettable mix of events:
- Panels and masterclasses: Explore sapphic archives, queer media, and sports, or refine your writing craft with industry experts.
- Spectacular showcases: Enjoy the reflective Opening Gala, the delicious literary and beverage pairings of 'Words and Wine', and the provocative, adults-only late-night reading event, 'The Dark Room'.
- Queer Book Fair: A massive Sunday takeover to discover the best in queer literature.
Q-Lit is a vibrant celebration of queer voices, history, and joy!
