Plan C for Civilization

  • Film
  • Entertainment

Time has run out. As the climate emergency accelerates, so too may the dangers of refusing to investigate whether temporarily cooling Earth could help avert catastrophic harm.

Part thriller, part wake-up call, Plan C for Civilization enters the world of climate cooling and confronts a question the world can no longer avoid: is solar reflection too dangerous to explore, or is failing to understand it even more dangerous?

Follow leading scientist David Keith, who has spent 30 years researching the planet-cooling approach known as solar reflection. It could act quickly and cool the planet, but it also raises profound scientific, political and ethical questions on both sides of the debate.

Plan C for Civilization asks whether the greater danger lies in exploring this controversial option — or in responding to the climate emergency without knowing if it could help protect people and the planet.
