  • Entertainment

Nineteen years after winning his first Palme d'Or at Cannes Film Festival, Cristian Mungiu is one of the most acclaimed directors of his generation. His films have amassed nine prizes at the Cannes, including one for Best Director (Graduation), two for Best Actress (Beyond the Hills) and recently he won his second Palme d’Or for his new film Fjord.

After bringing Romanian New Wave into the public consciousness, Romanian cinema has become a staple of film festivals around the world, and the movement shows no sign of ending.

Celebrate the New Wave with a film season dedicated to the powerful cinema of Cristian Mungiu. The season starts with special preview screening of Fjord, alongside unforgettable films from his career such as R.M.N, Beyond the Hills, Graduation and Occident.
