Melbourne Quarter's Public Art: Open House

  • Art
  • Tour

Melbourne Quarter is one of Melbourne’s largest contemporary mixed-use precincts.

Creative agency and production house Broached Commissions curated, commissioned and conceived the creative direction for Melbourne Quarter’s Public Art. Working with artists including John Warwicker, Geoff Nees and Reko Rennie, the integrated artworks weave the site's history, from a garden maintained by the Kulin nation to its time as Batman's Hill, into the contemporary precinct.

As part of Open House Melbourne 2026, Melbourne Quarter hosts a program of guided tours and talks exploring the precinct’s evolution from large-scale development to a working part of the city.

Book for a 30-minute tour to explore the curation and creative direction behind the public art in Melbourne Quarter.

Note this event is on Saturday 25 July only.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
