Meet @ the Market: Session 1

A concert series that invites you to deep dive into fascinating music in an intimate setting, Meet @ the Market features atmospheric lighting design, custom cocktails from Brogan’s Way Gin, and the exuberant cultural explorer Stéphanie Kabanyana Kanyandekwe as your orchestral tour guide.

The Session 1 program, conducted by Alice Farnham, is out of this world: Gustav Holst’s epic The Planets, grips the imagination with the peaceful glow of Venus and jubilation of Jupiter. Alongside it, discover the brilliant Suite for Strings by Gustav’s daughter, Imogen Holst. Add in the high-octane energy of John Psathas’s marimba concerto Djinn, performed by Mathew Levy, and you’ve got an evening that mixes cosmic grandeur and pure adrenaline.

Arrive early to settle in with a drink, and don’t rush off when the final note sounds. The bar remains open after each performance for a post-concert social. At Meet @ the Market, the evening doesn’t end with the applause, it’s just getting started.
