Louise Donovan: Common Ground

  • Free
  • Art

Melbourne printmaker Louise Donovan presents Common Ground, a captivating exhibition capturing everyday moments from Melbourne, Creswick and Alice Springs. Working in her signature drypoint on copper, Donovan translates docks, Port Phillip Bay, intimate interiors, architectural forms and her unmistakable trees into quietly powerful works rich with immediacy and texture.

Trained at the Victorian College of the Arts, Donovan’s work is held in the National Gallery of Australia and continues to feature prominently within Australia’s contemporary print scene.

Experience the beauty of fleeting impressions, etched by hand with remarkable intimacy.

Framed works available for purchase.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.
