Jo Davenport: Under the Same Sky

Flinders Lane Gallery presents Under the Same Sky, a new solo exhibition by Albury-based artist Jo Davenport.

Emerging from an embodied and deeply familiar relationship with the Riverina districts of NSW, Jo Davenport's gestural painting translate the shifting atmospheres, energies and temporal rhythms of place into highly charged abstractions. Beneath their exuberant colour and physicality lies an acute ecological consciousness: a celebration of landscape as a lived, intimate experience, shadowed by an urgent awareness of its fragility.
