Jay Wymarra is a Tropical Fruit

  • Comedy
  • Entertainment

Aboriginal All Stars regular and Comedy Zone alumni brings a new hour squeezed fresh from North Queensland. Jay Wymarra is part Torres Strait Islander and part queer wizard, ripe with sparkling wit, juicy yarns and just enough tangy bite. Join Jay in his world of wayward aunties, embarrassing uncles, a celebrity encounter or three, and his trusty uke ready to spit some hilarious verse (if that verse is a word perfect rendition of I Wanna Be Like You from The Jungle Book. Really.)

Tropical Fruit is a refreshing take on life from one of comedy’s rising stars, and contains your daily recommended serving of laughs.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
