In Her Arms: MIFF Screening

In Her Arms (Ukraine, 2025) is a short 20-minute film screening as part of the Melbourne international Film Festival's International Shorts 2 program.

A Ukrainian couple clear rubble from their devastated home as their reality begins to distort. After Russian forces retreat, Heorhiy and Yaryna return to their home and work to repair the damage; their trauma lingers like the danger hidden beneath the fridge. Engrossingly suspenseful, Roman Volosevych’s short film is also a movingly humane testament to the ordinary Ukrainians whose lives the Russian invasion has destroyed.
