Spotlight on Anime Heroines

  • Film
  • Entertainment

Anime is more than action and adventure. Spotlight on Anime Heroines spans four decades of Japanese filmmaking, putting complex female protagonists at the centre of every story.

Across fantasy, folklore and contemporary drama, these women navigate real and imagined worlds on their own terms. From Princess Mononoke to Suzume, this season is built around female perspectives, including two films newly restored in 4K.
