This November, Flinders Lane Gallery will present Exploration 26, bringing together thirteen emerging unsigned artists selected from an impressive 800 plus submissions. Now in its 26th year, Exploration was established to give artists working outside the commercial gallery system an opportunity to present their work within a professional gallery context. The annual exhibition culminates in the FLG Emerging Artist Award, with one artist being offered an all expenses paid solo exhibition at Flinders Lane Gallery in the following year. A Highly Commended artist is also offered an opportunity for mentorship with an artist from within the FLG stable.

The 2026 finalists are: Abhijit Pal (VIC) , Ben Liney (VIC), Branka Sinobad (QLD), Florence Steel (ACT), Holly Goodridge (VIC), Imogen Eve Rowe (NSW), Inès Cook (SA), Marcus O'Donnell (VIC), Scott Chaseling (NSW), Sophie Honess (NSW), Susie Lewis (VIC), Suxing Zhang (NSW) and Tamara Mendels (NSW).
