Debate: AI at Work

  • Free
  • Talk

AI is transforming the way we work – from drafting content and analysing data to automating routine tasks. RMIT Online’s latest research shows the average worker saves up to nine hours a week using AI. But as productivity rises, a bigger question is emerging: what happens to our ability to think critically? Are we using AI to enhance judgement, or starting to outsource it?

Join for a debate exploring the tension between efficiency and expertise. One side will argue AI is a powerful productivity tool that frees up time for higher-value work and better outcomes. The other will question whether overreliance on AI is eroding problem-solving, creativity and independent thinking.

Through real-world examples and workplace trends, the speakers will explore what it means to work alongside AI – and the skills that will matter most in the future. At the end of the session, the audience will decide who made the strongest case.
