Now in its sixth year, the Chinese Traditional Cultural Festival returns to Fed Square for a full day of Chinese culture, mythology and modern creativity in Melbourne.
The day opens with an official ceremony, before the Main Stage fills with Chinese dance, opera, martial arts, Hanfu catwalks and Guo Feng music blending ancient sound with modern beats.
Across the main square, discover an interactive showcase featuring Tang Roly-Poly, a Hanfu procession, Kung Fu demonstrations and live heritage displays.
Mythical NPC characters weave through the crowd sparking spontaneous interactions, while volunteer guides share the stories behind each scene and point you to the best photo spots.
At the marketplace, try workshops like calligraphy, lacquer fan painting and sachet making, alongside Hanfu, crafts and specialty food.
All ages welcome, come with friends or family. Supported by the City of Melbourne, Victorian Government and Fed Square.
