Congress

  • Free
  • Theatre

Congress connects the personal with the political by matchmaking eight citizens with eight professional wordsmiths. Together, they have been invited to write and deliver the citizens’ own 'first speech' created for those often unheard; public declarations that address personal visions for our collective future.

Taking the form of a ritualised performance, intersected with community and cultural dance, this project unashamedly encourages citizens to imagine change, demand transformation and rehearse new ways of being together.

Part of the Fringe Festival.
