AusIMM International Women's Day Lunch

  • Community
  • Events

The special guest keynote speaker for the Melbourne International Women's Day lunch is Bec Daniher. Bec stepped away from her sporting and professional career after her father, AFL legend and 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher’s diagnosis with the terminal illness MND.

Since then, Bec has become the passionate spokesperson for this cause, leading iconic campaigns including The Big Freeze and Daniher’s Drive, which have enabled more than $138 million to be invested into vital research and care to fight MND.

Bec speaks with heart, strength and purpose about what it means to turn adversity into action, and how the power of community can drive meaningful change. Make sure you're there to hear Bec's inspiring story.

When we come together and share our stories, challenges and triumphs, we create opportunities for meaningful conversations that can drive positive outcomes for the benefit of everyone across the sector.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
