Child's hands using a rolling pin to roll out roti on a stone benchtop.
14 – 15 Apr

April School Holidays Kids Cooking Workshops

  • Family and kids
  • Workshop

At these fun, hands-on cooking workshops, little chefs will get to cook their own lunch and enjoy it together.

Kids will learn how to roll roti bread, create fun pappadum tacos, and fill them with their own toppings. A lentil curry will be served that kids can enjoy with the roti they’ve rolled themselves.

This is a relaxed and playful way to introduce children to new flavours while building confidence in the kitchen.

Each child will take home:
- their own chef’s hat
- a Lankan Tucker apron
- a water bottle

Age group: 6–9 years old.

Capacity: 20 kids per session.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
