Annie Louey and Miranda Hill: Putting the Us in Uterus
Comedian Annie Louey and musician Miranda Hill have one uterus between them. This show features stand-up, improv and music about their funny medical experiences.
This pair first met at a night class for adults learning Chinese. When they found out they were both performers, they quickly ditched the Chinese and started bonding over their shared sense of humour.
A decade later, both of them experienced women’s health issues that required major surgery. Miranda had a hysterectomy and Annie had a fibroid the size of an orange removed (why do doctors always measure serious medical conditions with fruit, pregnancy included?)
Annie is a former Moosehead Award recipient, who has appeared on Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s 'Opening Night Comedy Allstars Supershow'.
Miranda is a double bassist and won the Victorian Luminary Award at the 2023 APRA/AMCOS Art Music Awards. She is the Artistic Director of 'Homophonic!' a cult queer chamber music series.
