An Evening with Fran Lebowitz

  • Talk
  • Entertainment

Fran Lebowitz is renowned for her razor-sharp commentary, biting realism and unapologetic observations.

Returning with An Evening with Fran Lebowitz, the star of Martin Scorsese‘s hit Netflix documentary series Pretend It’s a City unleashes her chain-smoking, coffee-drinking New Yorker bite on a world falling ever more deeply into depravity, sucked along in the wake of Trump 2.0.

Weaving a cautionary tale for our society, and never short of an opinion – from politicians to AI and people who walk too slowly to billionaires – Fran has for decades lambasted the abhorrent and ridiculous with wit and wisdom in equal measure.

Come for the candour, stay for the cynicism – and leave vastly more entertained.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
