Absorbed Festival

Absorbed returns to Miscellania for a three-day festival of experimental music, performance and audiovisual art presented by the Melbourne independent label Absorb. This fifth edition brings together local and international artists for a weekend of live premieres, collaborations and boundary-pushing sound.

The program spans left-field electronic music, performance art, installations and late-night club explorations, showcasing Melbourne’s vibrant underground alongside global innovators. Highlights include performances and DJ sets from James K (US), DJ /rupture (US) and a live performance by Takkak Takkak (Japan/India), alongside a wide range of Australian experimental artists presenting new works developed especially for the festival.

From immersive concerts to unpredictable live performance, Absorbed celebrates experimentation, collaboration and the ever-evolving edges of music and art. Food will be available all weekend via the Queensberry Street Cooperative.
