A Curious Tea Party

  • Family and kids
  • Events

Tumble down the rabbit hole and into a world of wonder with the Alice in Wonderland–inspired High Tea at the Waiting Room.

Wonderland is reimagined through the Waiting Room's signature elegance, transforming teatime into a fantastical affair. Expect enchanted tablescapes, shimmering sweets and a delightful dash of whimsy in every detail.

Take a journey through the looking glass with a menu of curious creations like Alice’s Favourite Scones with strawberry jam and Devonshire cream and the Caterpillar’s Dreamy Seafood and ‘Nduja Croquettes with fiery red pepper, creamy aioli and hibiscus dust. Each sweet treat is a playful tribute to Alice’s adventures, lovingly crafted to bring the Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts and White Rabbit to life.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
