MDT DESIGN is an award-winning, family-owned jewellery house located in Melbourne’s CBD, established in 1981 and recognised as one of Australia’s Most Awarded Jewellers.
Operating from a street-front boutique with an on-site workshop just beyond the showroom, MDT DESIGN offers craftsmanship rarely found in contemporary jewellery retail. Jewellery is never mass produced – every engagement ring, wedding band and bespoke piece is individually designed and meticulously handmade on-site by master jewellers.
Each creation begins as a solid bar of precious metal, forged by hand to ensure exceptional strength and longevity. Specialising in custom engagement rings, tension set designs and Mokume Gane metalwork, MDT DESIGN combines technical precision with refined artistry.
Private design consultations are conducted by appointment, and all repairs and restorations are completed on premises, ensuring continuity of care long after a piece leaves the workshop.
