Charles Maimone is one of Crossley street's longest-serving traders. He has worked there since 1972, after moving from Bourke Street. Mr Maimone started as a tailor in Sicily, when he was just 14 years old.
His loyal following benefit from his many years of experience, with hand-stitching on all silk linings. He assembles the garments in the workroom at the back of the shop, with his long-time assistant Flavio.
Suits start at around $3,000, which reflects the quality, care and craftsmanship involved.
