The Windsor

  • Hotels

The Windsor is one of Australia's most renowned hotels, from an era of grand hotels including The Savoy in London, The Plaza and The Waldorf Astoria in New York, The Ritz in Paris and the Raffles Hotel in Singapore.

It offers 180 rooms and suites in a classic style, set among the historic Paris end of Collins and Bourke streets. The Windsor is where stars of the golden age of film, celebrities and royalty have stayed, and the chandeliered hallways, Victorian architecture and suites are a popular choice for films.

The Windsor is also the home of their famous Afternoon Tea and houses the spectacular Grand Ballroom - a rare find in the city. With a location across from the Treasury Building, historic Parliament House, and the theatre district including the Princess Theatre (just a few minutes away), The Windsor is the destination for film lovers, theatre goers and weddings.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.
