The Windsor Hotel's Afternoon Tea

  • Cafe
  • Restaurant

One of the grandest experiences in Melbourne, Afternoon Tea at The Windsor has been celebrated for over a century – generations of families, friends and brides-to-be gathering to catch up over silver-tiered stands of petite cakes, sandwiches, scones and Champagne.

Held in the city's last remaining grand hotel, a heritage-listed Victorian era property, afternoon tea is a cherished tradition with a modern touch. Start with a cocktail – an espresso martini or Windsor martini (made with the hotel's custom-blended tea) perhaps – select from the specialty tea menu, and savour your way through the dessert buffet on weekends. You'll find a chocolate fountain too.

An afternoon tea connoisseur, The Windsor is known to cater to dietary requirements, and also features a children's afternoon tea menu celebrating nostalgic Australian childhood favourites.

This is a Melbourne experience not to be missed.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.
