The Nova Bar

  • Entertainment
  • Bar

Cinema Nova's iconic Nova Bar is located at the top of the escalators in Lygon Court, right next to the Candy Bar. Sip on a cocktail, savour a coffee and nibble on some light snacks before, after or between movie sessions. There's no better place for cinema-goers to relax and unwind.

The latest Nova Bar takeover transports moviegoers to the dangerous world of Wes Anderson’s 'The Phoenician Scheme'.

Paying homage to Anderson’s inventive postmodern aesthetic and the decorative Levantine-inspired setting of the film, Nova-goers can lounge in the bath alongside Zsa-zsa Korda, bask in the neon glow of ‘Marseille Bob’s’ nightclub, or sample a quirky cocktail.

Previous bar-takeovers have included Adam Elliot's stop motion 'Memoir of a Snail'; Yorgos Lanthimos' 'Poor Things'; Wes Anderson's 'Asteroid City' and 'The French Dispatch'; Oscar-winner 'Everything Everywhere All At Once'; 'Blade Runner 2049'; and The Hollywood Time Lounge inspired by Tarantino's 'Once Upon A Time in Hollywood'.
