Hana Assafiri’s institution is reborn in a new location, but still serving up the same tasty food.

Everything here is made in-house from scratch, to bring you the best of Morocco's traditional flavours with food that is made with care. Their restaurant and catering business are totally vegetarian, and lovingly showcase that a no meat cuisine can enhance the flavours of cooking and not compromise them.

Established in 1998 The Moroccan Soup Bar is founded on the concept of shared experiences, connections in an open, responsible and communal way and a mindfulness of our tread. Whether you are a one-time eater or repeat customer, you will feel all your senses stimulated, and your hunger satisfied.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.
