New Shanghai’s chefs use the freshest quality produce to recreate traditional Shanghainese recipes passed down from generation to generation.

From signature xiao long bao, pan fried pork buns, handmade dumplings and dim sum; to delicious braised pork belly, rainbow beef, salt and pepper prawns and stir-fried noodles. The restaurant includes a expansive dining area, an extensive cocktail list, and a chargrilled skewers-style menu including cumin lamb, Sichuan pepper pork belly and wagyu asparagus rolls.

The thoughtfully designed menu suits any occasion, from snacking in between a shopping spree to after work drinks or large feasts with friends and family. Located on level 3, close to Hoyts and Strike Bowling it’s the ideal place for dining before or after a movie or after a game of bowling.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
