Izakaya Miyazaki

  • Bar
  • Restaurant

In the heart of Melbourne’s CBD lies Izakaya Miyazaki – a place where every detail reflects Japan.

Guests are invited to savour A5 Miyazaki Wagyu imported from the Miyachiku cooperative, along with treasures such as uni and kinki fish flown in from Tokyo’s Toyosu Market. The menu honours time-honoured traditions: robatayaki over binchotan charcoal, yakiniku grilled at the table, shabu shabu simmered to reveal pure flavour, and precise sashimi served to highlight the ingredients’ character.

The drinks list channels the spirit of a true izakaya: one of Melbourne’s most expansive sake selections, Japanese-inspired cocktails and premium wines, all chosen for their ability to invite connection and keep the good times flowing.

For special occasions or intimate gatherings, Izakaya Miyazaki offers six private dining rooms – from spaces for four to a room for 12. Choose to dine in kimono and elevate your experience into a unique cultural journey.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
