Daughter in Law

  • Restaurant
  • Casual dining

Daughter in Law is an 'unauthentic' Indian bar and restaurant in a bright and playful space at the top end of the city.

This latest venture from Jessi Singh, creator of Babu Ji and Horn Please, takes it up a notch, offering naan pizza with blue cheese, curry chips and yogurt croquettes.

Classic curry lovers are catered for too, with rogan josh, goat curry and vindaloo making an appearance on the menu, in addition to the street foods of Delhi and Mumbai.

Settle in to one of the blue velvet booths and admire the colourful artwork as you sip on a spicy cocktail. There's a tasting menu for those who can't decide and good-value thali lunch options.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.
