The Life and Times of Flinders Lane is a 90-minute guided walking tour exploring how this once-industrial street evolved from the heart of Melbourne’s Rag Trade into one of the city’s most celebrated dining and laneway precincts.
Created in partnership with Seniors in Melbourne, this relaxed small-group walking tour is ideal for retirees who want to explore the city at an easy pace, taking a wander through Flinders Lane to reveal Melbourne’s past.
Limited to a maximum group number of 10, the tours are led by Paul Daffey, a lifelong Melburnian, journalist and storyteller. His love of local history comes through in every step – whether he’s recounting tales from a century-old pub or pointing out a detail most people miss, Paul brings Melbourne’s characters, quirks and hidden corners to life.
