Nick Abrahams: The Accidental Lawyer

  • Comedy
  • Entertainment

This is a story about a lawyer who shouldn’t have ever become one. It is for anyone who has ever found themselves in the wrong place.

Years ago, Nick Abrahams was a successful comedian – in Tokyo – starring in his own TV show and hailed as 'the Seinfeld of Japan'. He then landed a job at Warner Bros in Hollywood working with George Clooney on ER and Aaron Sorkin on The West Wing. He produced and appeared in a film with Woody Allen and then…he became a lawyer.

When anyone hears this, their first reaction is, 'Why so much name-dropping' and then they ask, 'What went wrong?' A lot of people escape being a lawyer to do something more interesting. Nick escaped doing something more interesting to spend 16 hours a day arguing over commas. This is a show about how Nick did a career change in reverse and then tried to escape.

Not just for lawyers, this show is for anyone who’s ever wanted to change their life…but was quietly terrified they’d completely stuff it up.
