  • Entertainment

If you love story‑driven theatre written and performed by the best local artists, this double-bill is for you. Your ticket gives you access to two original productions created by Melbourne Writers’ Theatre, presented in an up-close setting that guarantees an intimate, rewarding experience.

Start with Metropolois Monologues, an entertaining collection of 10-minute monologues written by MWT playwrights. These highly original stories will be performed by a talented ensemble including Emerson Hansford, Stephen Najera, Asher Griffith-Jones and Monique Kerr. Directed by Karyn Lee Greig.

After an intermission, return to your seat for the premiere of Who I’m Doing This For, a riveting new drama by Peter Farrar, directed by Steven T. Boltz and featuring Lochie Laffin-Vines, Emily Farrell and Tony Adams. Winner of the 2026 Amethyst Award, this gripping play explores the complicated bond between a father and son and asks: What would we do to earn a parent’s love?
