Mediterraneo Dream: Voices of the South

  • Theatre
  • Music

A live concert by Fulvio Cama and Sara Cappello, with percussion by Felice Paone.

This music and theatre show is a sung narrative of the traditions of Southern Italy, focusing on Calabria and Sicily. The show brings to the stage the ancient folk arts of Sicilian puppetry and the cantastorie, with myths, legends, stories, and age-old traditions.

Composer, multi-instrumentalist, writer, luthier and winner of numerous international awards, Musicantore, Fulvio Cama from Reggio in Calabria, embodies the art of the ancient Aedi and Cantastorie through his distinctive World Music style and contemporary musical projects.

Storyteller, singer-songwriter and researcher, Cantore, Sara Cappello from Palermo, Sicily, has released numerous musical works and is the founder of Teatro Cantunera in Palermo. Her performances are immersions into history, traditions, and ancient memories, where storytelling and music – through strong theatrical expression and song – captivate audiences of all ages.
