LGBTIQA+ History Walk

  • Free
  • Talk

Join a local history guide from Australian Queer Archives for an informative morning, as we reveal and revel in Melbourne’s very queer history. Australian Queer Archives has for many years been conducting tours and walking the streets of Melbourne sharing queer histories and acknowledging the significant sites across our city.

This walk starts outside the State Library of Victoria and finishes at St Paul’s Anglican Cathedral.

The tour is free, however spaces are limited and bookings are essential.

This event is running as part of the Victorian Seniors Festival. Attendees will need to be comfortable participating in an approximately 1km walk of about one hour duration.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
