Dome After Dark: Mixed Reality x Creative Acts
In Memory | Of Being blends the Library’s architecture and archives in a haunting exploration of memory and place. Wearing a mixed-reality headset, you’ll move through the Dome’s upper levels where you will encounter audio and archival images.
Created by artist-scientist Yoyo Munk (the artist-scientist behind the mixed reality work Medusa and Asia TOPA’s Kagami) during their eight-week residency at the Library, this digital artwork returns after its sell-out debut at Open House Melbourne, now showing for a late-night audience.
Stop by Cowen Gallery anytime between 7–10pm to enjoy the bar and lounge, where music, drinks and short video screenings set the mood before or after your allocated session. While you’re here, make sure to catch the Library’s newest exhibition Creative Acts, a journey into the unseen forces that drive artistic creation, featuring visionary Australian artists and collection highlights. Join an informal guided tour or wander the gallery at your own pace.
