Closing Night: Robin Fox/MY DISCO/Jeho Yun + Kyoungjin So

  • Music
  • Entertainment

Premiering in its full concert form, Robin Fox’s PRESENCE transforms the room into a force of light and frequency. Lasers slice through haze and darkness in a tightly synchronised choreography of sound and light, collapsing the boundary between what is seen and what is heard.

Melbourne’s own MY DISCO return for a rare hometown performance, their first time in four years. The trio present a career-spanning set tracing the full arc of their singular output.

Opening the night, Jeho Yun + Kyoungjin So present 노크 (KNOCK) – a ritual of traditional Korean percussion and movement, lasers and electronic sound. A strike against the boundary between worlds, each gesture is answered by light pulses and sonic resonance. This world premiere performance transforms the wall from a symbol of separation into a threshold of communication between the physical and virtual worlds.
