Chinese Painting Workshop: The Horse

Led by two acclaimed Chinese-Australian artists, Meiyu Xiao and Chunrui Yang, this workshop invites participants to explore traditional Chinese brush and ink techniques while developing their own interpretation of the horse through line, movement and form.

Whether you are completely new to Chinese painting or already have some artistic experience, you will be guided step by step through the creative process in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Along the way, hear from the artists about their creative practices, cultural influences and experiences as Chinese migrant artists in Australia.

No previous painting experience is required, and all skill levels are welcome.
