Chet Baker Reimagined

  • Music
  • Entertainment

In celebration of the 'Prince of Cool', Jackie Bornstein and Toby Mak unite for an evening of reimagining Chet Baker's classic repertoire. Together with their top band, Jackie and Toby will perform sensitive interpretations of the swinging and moving tunes recorded by Chet across his musical career.

Jackie Bornstein
With sold-out shows at the Melbourne Recital Centre, Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Paris Cat Jazz Club and more, Jackie brings a powerful energy to each performance. Whether performing a hard swinging bop tune or deeply moving ballad Jackie enchants audiences with her emotive delivery and beautifully rich tone.

Toby Mak
A teen protégé of Motown trumpet legend Gil Askey, Toby has since performed with legends like Dee Dee Bridgewater, Chris Potter and Mark Turner. Established as a highly in-demand trumpeter based in Shanghai for over 20 years, Toby is back in his hometown of Melbourne and is quickly re-emerging as a leading player in the local scene.
