Alphamama: We Were Here

What does it mean to live a true life? What does it mean to be a human? Alphamama's latest body of art, We Were Here, is an exploration of these questions through words and music. A declaration of love for this wild adventure of being alive.

In times like these, it's so easy to get lost in pain and polarising politics. But amongst the brutality, there is beauty too. Music is a healing balm, it reminds us that there is something beyond the brokenness.

Alphamama will be sharing music with you, with her band and full heart. Come and play. Come and sing, dance, cry, laugh, feel, and remember what matters.

Who else is on the line-up? You are. The stage will be open for you to leave your mark. Share your song. Speak your words. Dance your soul. We are in this together.

Time will pass, life will change and the memories will fade. But through our art, we remember, We Were Here.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
