Activate Your Creative Brain Workshop

  • Workshop

Emerging research shows that with the habitual use of AI, our brains are receiving less exercise. This can make our brains lazier and affect our ability to quickly generate ideas and fresh solutions. Many of us exercise the muscles in our body regularly, but don't think to exercise our brain.

In this fun workshop with award-winning writer and creative Amanda Anastasi, you will be given exercises designed to encourage cognitive flexibility, creative and divergent thinking, and associative thinking. You will also be given helpful tips on how to use these exercises in your daily life to stimulate ideas and create habits to keep your brain sharp and your creativity flowing.

If you have a problem to solve or feel your thinking has become too predictable, this is the place for you. This workshop will remind you of the unlimited capacity of your own mind and your ability to generate new ideas without always needing the aid of AI.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
