Life's Too Short Bar

Housed in 160-year-old bluestone cellars on the edge of the city is Life's Too Short Bar, arguably one of Melbourne's most romantic venues.

The bar offers an unparalleled back-vintage wine list (with 28 wines by the glass), 13 brews and over 30 delicious cocktails. There's an extensive all-day European-style tapas and share plate menu that caters for almost every dietary need, with gluten-free a specialty.

Owners Sigrid and Antony (the chef and the sommelier) have run degustation dinners and wine events for years, but the pandemic allowed them to put their travel money into a 'booze change' where they could share their passion for food, wine and cocktail matching.

The venue is a little bit European and a whole lot of deliciousness, so whether you're looking for date-night romance, all-day grazing with friends, or a more formal dinner, Life's Too Short has you covered.

Private functions and events are also available.

Special offer Happy hour – Wed-Thu 4-6pm, Fri 3-6pm

Enjoy selected cellared house wines and craft lager from $9, plus monthly cocktail specials.
