Ginza Kagari

  • Restaurant
  • Casual dining

Established in 2013 in the heart of Ginza, Ginza Kagari quickly became a popular ramen shop with long lines of customers. In 2016 and 2017 it was selected for the Michelin Guide. Since then, it expanded across Japan, and now arrives in Melbourne.

The owner, Makoto Iwata, set out to elevate a bowl of ramen to the level of fine cuisine. This philosophy is expressed through their signature dish, chicken paitan ramen. It features an incredibly rich, creamy chicken broth, made with chicken from Japan and simmered for hours. The bowl is then carefully layered with seasonal vegetables, slow-cooked chashu chicken, and springy, silky noodles.

Each bowl is a refined yet comforting experience, one that transports you straight to the streets of Tokyo.

Walk-ins only.
