The city’s largest shopping centre spans two city blocks and five levels. Find fashion, beauty and entertainment inside, and see the historic Shot Tower. Melbourne Central is open until 7pm daily and 9pm on Thursday and Friday nights.
The Strand
Tucked between Emporium Melbourne and the GPO, The Strand is home to international and Australian designers. The Strand is open until 9pm on Thursday and Friday nights, and 7pm all other days.
Emporium Melbourne
This luxury shopping centre has more than 200 stores, providing a fusion of fashion, culture, food and art. Emporium Melbourne is open until 7pm daily and 9pm every Thursday and Friday night.

St Collins Lane
Find luxury fashion, restaurants and lifestyle stores in this chic space. Don’t miss the green lightscape ceiling on level two. St Collins Lane is open until 7pm on Thursday and Friday nights. Shop until 6pm on Saturdays and Monday through Wednesday.
The District Docklands
The open-air laneways at The District are packed with dining, specialty stores and unique family-friendly entertainment. Retail stores at The District Docklands stay open until 6pm daily.
QV Melbourne
Wander the laneways of this open-air centre and discover fashion boutiques, bars and cafes, a public square and several large retailers. Friday night is late-night shopping night, with stores open until 9pm. The centre is open until 7pm Monday to Thursday and 6pm on Saturdays.

Laneways and arcades
The Block Arcade
A lavish 19th-century shopping arcade featuring boutiques, cafes and an impressive mosaic floor. Shopping hours are extended until 6pm Monday to Thursday and 8pm on Friday nights.
Royal Arcade
Heritage-listed and filled with boutiques, Royal Arcade is the oldest arcade in Australia. See the giant clock that chimes every hour. Royal Arcade is open until 7pm daily, with late-night shopping until 8.30pm on Friday nights.

Curtin House
Floors three and four of this Art Nouveau building are filled with independent fashion, design and book stores. Most stores are open until 7pm on Fridays and 6pm Monday to Thursday and Saturday.
Nicholas Building
Known as a ‘vertical laneway’, this heritage building is home to an eclectic selection of small businesses and attractions. Opening hours vary, but many stores in the Nicholas Building stay open until 6pm Monday to Friday.

Department stores
Myer
Built in 1914, the Bourke Street Mall store is Myer's flagship store. Find fashion, cosmetics, homewares, cafes and more across multiple floors. Visit at Christmas to see the iconic Myer Christmas Windows display. Myer Melbourne is open until 7pm daily and 9pm on Thursday and Friday nights.
David Jones
Visit Australia's oldest department store, located next to Myer in the heart of Melbourne's retail precinct. The redesigned flagship store has six levels of Australian designer fashion, homewares, toys and more. The Bourke Street Mall store is open until 7pm daily, with late-night shopping until 9pm on Thursdays and Fridays.
