Open Mic: Poetry and Prose Readings

  • Talk
  • Community

Calling all budding poets, writers and lyricists – come along to this supportive monthly poetry and prose open mic meetup. There'll be an opportunity to read your work (if you're brave enough) and listen to others over a drink or two. You don't need to be published, you just need to be passionate about your craft.

Grab a support buddy and come along to the luxe lounge room hidden away in the 160-year-old bluestone cellars in East Melbourne's Tribeca precinct. There's great cocktails, back-vintage wines, craft brews and good vibes in a very chilled and supportive safe space.

Your ticket includes a $20 credit towards food and drinks.

The City of Melbourne respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the land we govern, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples of the Kulin and pays respect to their Elders past and present. We acknowledge and honour the unbroken spiritual, cultural and political connection they have maintained to this unique place for more than 2000 generations.

We accept the invitation in the Uluru Statement from the Heart and are committed to walking together to build a better future. For more information, visit Aboriginal Melbourne.
